Introduction

BOARD OF GOVERNORS is a Diploma program taught at Mountwest Community and Technical College, USA. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (2 years) options.

The Board of Governors Associate of Applied Science Degree is an interdisciplinary studies degree designed to assist adult learners in meeting occupational goals, employment requirements, establishing professional credentials, or achieving personal goals. The program includes the learning outcomes of working collaboratively in groups, computer software skills, communication skills, and critical thinking skills.

Admission uses an open admission policy. It is available to students who have graduated from high school two or more years prior to enrollment. Students who earned a GED/TASC certificate must submit their program application at least two years from the date their high school class would have graduated. The Board of Governors Associate degree must be earned prior to any other Associate or Bachelor degree earned by the student.

The degree “seamlessly articulates” with the West Virginia Board of Regents Bachelor of Arts and the Bachelor of Applied Science degrees. Students who want to develop specific job skills may choose an Area of Emphasis.
