Master of Public Administration

Master of Public Administration is a Masters program taught at National University, USA. Intake: April, June, August, December. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (24 months) options.

The Master of Public Administration (MPA) at National University prepares students for government management in federal, state, and local settings and for nonprofit management. The curriculum combines public administration with traditional business skills such as financial management, budgeting, and research. Students study critical thinking and research methods, public management and political influences, power division in government, and evaluating government employees and administration strategies. Students also synthesize grant proposal resources and approaches.

The degree requires at least 36 semester credit hours of graduate work and includes 8 program courses plus program electives. Learning includes a PAD 644 project completed by students working in teams or individually with an assigned faculty advisor; students clarify research topics, identify data sources, gather data, and present research in written and oral form. The program is class-based and uses start dates in April, June, August, and December. Completion can be finished in 24 months.
