Doctor of Education
Introduction
The Doctor of Education (EdD) is an online doctoral degree designed for professionals who seek to lead improvements in practice within educational organizations. Students integrate conceptual constructs into complex professional problems and develop strategies, tactics, and policies for improving practice and ensuring regulatory compliance, with attention to access, social justice, and ethical behavior.
Learning is delivered as 100% online, with weekly class starts and individual-based learning. The program uses methods, the pre-candidacy prospectus, and the dissertation, and includes courses focused on research, academic writing, and statistical analysis, plus a specialization curriculum focused on the PK-12 environment. Students complete required committee-approved dissertation sections and disseminate findings.
