Bachelor of Arts in Management
Introduction
The Bachelor of Arts in Management at National University is an online and hybrid program focused on management knowledge and skills for business environments. Students complete at least 120 semester credit hours, including 30 semester credit hours completed in residence, 51 upper-division semester credit hours, and a minimum 46 semester credit hours of University General Education requirements. The major minimizes prerequisites so required courses can be taken in any sequence, and students select upper-division electives from program concentrations.
Major requirements include preparation for the major courses in statistical modeling and data analysis using R, data analytics foundations for knowledge discovery, and data management for analytics.
The requirements for the major cover roles and functions of managers (Planning, Organizing, Leading, Controlling), predictive analytics in enterprise marketing, probabilistic analytic models for investment decisions, security and privacy for online transactions, international business, leadership, organizational behavior and people skills, human resource management, business ethics and ethical leadership, and strategic management for running a business enterprise.
Upper-division electives are limited to specific concentration options and course prefixes, with restrictions including that ECO 607 and IBU 606 are not available as electives and MGT 451 cannot be taken.
