Business Systems and Management Certificate

The Business Systems and Management Certificate is a six-class, non-degree certificate designed to build skills and understanding of business systems. Courses include management fundamentals, relational databases, operations and supply chain management, and business topics such as accounting, business law, and microeconomics or macroeconomics. Students choose a starting course from BUS 215 Principles of Management or BUS 304 Engineering Management.

The certificate requires 18 credits and includes a set of options across core and focused courses.

Students choose one to three core courses from ACC 201 Principles of Accounting, BUS 226 Business Law, ECO 201 Principles of Microeconomics or ECO 202 Principles of Macroeconomics, GIS 134 Geographic Information Systems, MIS 113 Intro to Database Systems or MIS 275 Intro to Relational Databases, and MIS 206 Intro to Management Information Systems.

Focused course options include BUS 349 Human Resource Management I and MGT 322 Supply Chain Management. BUS 375 Experience in Business Abroad is an in-person summer travel experience. The program is online.

The minimum requirements for admission in Business Systems and Management Certificate at Oregon Institute of Technology for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:
