Pre-Graduate Psychology
Introduction
Pre-Graduate Psychology is a program taught at Pacific University, USA. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.
Pacific University offers a pre-professional psychology track for Pacific University undergraduates who want a career in psychology and plan for graduate school. The program is designed to be completed along with a bachelor’s degree. Psychology focuses on understanding and explaining thoughts, emotions, feelings, and behavior, using methods such as observation, assessment, and experimentation to develop theories and test cause-and-effect relationships.
Psychology training also involves activities such as administering personality, performance, aptitude, or intelligence tests, evaluating behavior through controlled laboratory experiments, psychoanalysis, or psychotherapy, and using information to test theories or treat patients. Clinical and counseling psychologists often require a doctoral degree, and school psychologists need a specialist or doctoral degree specific to school psychology. This track supports graduate pathways that include a master’s degree in applied clinical psychology and doctoral options in clinical psychology.
