Introduction

Finance is a Diploma program taught at Pellissippi State Community College, USA. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (2 years) options.

The Finance Associate of Science (A.S.) is part of a common core of courses developed by Tennessee Board of Regents community colleges and the state’s public universities. It includes general education core work and transfer electives, with outcomes focused on acquired knowledge, locating and evaluating information using proper attribution and citation, and solving problems using skills across the curriculum.

The program is designed as a transfer pathway. Earned credit hours on the pathway apply toward a bachelor’s degree in the same discipline, and students can transfer from Pellissippi State to any Tennessee public university as juniors without loss of credit. The pathway guarantees admission to all public universities in the state except the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where competitive admission standards still apply.
