Introduction

Master of Pastoral Theology is a Masters program taught at St. Ambrose University, USA. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.

The Master of Pastoral Theology (MPTh) prepares students for leadership roles in religious communities. Study theology with application to pastoral ministry, including scripture, ethics, spirituality/sacraments, and pastoral theology. Learn to evaluate society and culture in light of the Gospel and the Gospel in light of society and culture, and to examine faith experiences through the Gospel and church teachings.

Complete 34 credits through in-person classes. Students can enroll part-time or full-time and join a cohort model with other MPTh students. The program is connected with the Deacon Formation Program of the Catholic Diocese of Davenport, and students engage in prayer and literature. Pastoral experience is one of the requirements of the MPTh.
