Introduction
The Sport Management major at State University of New York at Cortland (SUNY Cortland) is designed for students who want a formal education in the business side of sports. The program follows a theory-to-practice model, with core courses that provide a foundation in business and elective courses within the major that help you shape your learning objectives.
Students complete more than 120 hours of field experience before a required senior internship. The program includes hands-on experiences and emphasizes skill development and career readiness. It also lists a semester-long internship as a special feature, alongside active promotion of diversity and social justice.
