Bachelor's in Art & Design

Art & Design is a Bachelor program taught at Tabor College, USA. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (4 years) options.

Art & Design at Tabor College strongly emphasizes foundations and exposes students to various media and techniques. Students work to curate their creative calling and craft their own voice in art and design, supported by faculty with active professional practices. The curriculum includes painting & drawing, ceramics, and photo studios alongside work that supports technical, conceptual, and creative development.

Students learn through a collaborative program with faculty and peer critiques. Instruction is supported by the Shari Flaming Center for the Arts, which provides a fully-equipped Mac design lab with Adobe Creative Cloud, plus painting & drawing, ceramics, and photo studios. The program also includes opportunities to make real work for clients or public exhibition, with livestream, studio, and gallery space provided inside the center.

The course prepares students for career opportunities such as graphic design, web design, illustration, art direction, independent art work, art education leadership, and exhibition-focused roles. It also supports communication and engagement with others in church, community, and society, and it includes a focus on how technical, conceptual, and creative abilities can serve Christ and his Kingdom.
