Masters Degree Program Educational Leadership Launched is a Masters program taught at University of Louisiana at Lafeyette, USA. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (12 courses over six semesters) options.
This hybrid master’s degree program in educational leadership is for elementary and secondary teachers who want to move into leadership roles such as principal, assistant principal, and other positions in school systems. The curriculum is designed to provide in-depth knowledge across topics including legal and ethical issues, community engagement, and using data to effect change.
Students complete 12 courses over six semesters. Each semester includes enrollment in two courses and a three-hour evening class once per week. For each course, students attend one classroom session in a given week and receive online instruction for the other course in that same week; the pattern reverses the next week and continues through the semester.
The program is coordinated by Dr. Frank Del Favero in the College of Education. It includes an option where the College of Education partners with school districts that identify potential future leaders and participate at centralized locations within the school district.
