Bachelor's in Art Major
Introduction
Art Major is a Bachelor program taught at University of the Ozarks, USA. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (4 years) options.
The Art Major at the University of the Ozarks combines an intense fine arts studio experience with creative problem solving, abstract thinking, and critical analysis. Students learn and respond to the content and complexity of the human experience, with small class sizes and a strong sense of community. The program supports technical knowledge while letting students explore a range of meaningful ideas to develop their own creative voice.
Learning includes studio work where students work on projects and share ideas during evenings and weekends. The curriculum includes example courses such as Design, Ceramics I, and Art History I, covering creating artworks using a variety of media, working with ceramics, and studying human experience through art and design.
With an Art Major and a minor such as Education, graduates can go on to become K-12 educators. An art degree can also lead to work in advertising and graphic design. Students may use an art major to prepare for further study in graduate school for art of psychology. Education students may qualify for up to $5,000 annually through the TEACH Loan/Scholarship by committing to teach in Arkansas after graduation.
