Bilingual-Bicultural Education
Introduction
Bilingual-Bicultural Education is a program taught at University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire, USA. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.
Bilingual-Bicultural Education is a certificate focused on the three pillars of bilingualism, biculturalism, and biliteracy. Using these pillars, students build skills to create inclusive, language-rich classrooms where learners feel seen, supported, and empowered. The certificate includes language-focused options in Spanish-English or Hmong-English.
Students complete 18 credits and must earn a C or higher in all certificate courses. Coursework trains students to work in two languages of instruction, and all students pass an oral and written language proficiency exam to teach in their target language. The certificate is offered in a hybrid, cohort-based format, and it can be combined with a K-12 content teaching major for pre-service undergraduate students.
