Educational Captioning
Introduction
Educational Captioning is a program taught at West Valley College, USA. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (290-474 hours) options.
The Educational Captioning Certificate of Completion prepares students for careers in educational captioning, also known as CART (Communication Access Realtime Translation). The program is based on program requirements of 290–474 hours. Students select course options that include WPM speed goals with multi-voice focus and choose among computer-aided transcription, computer-aided transcription with a multi-voice focus option, and medical dictation.
