Introduction

Applied Physics is a Bachelor program taught at West Valley College, USA. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.

The Associate of Science in Applied Physics (AS in Applied Physics) supports students who want to transfer from academic pathways that include a variety of physics-related degrees. It also supports students who want to build critical thinking and analytical abilities connected to concepts present in Physics or other disciplines.

The program includes Major Core Requirements totaling 32 units, covering Engineering Physics in Mechanics, Electricity and Magnetism, and Light, Heat, and Waves. Students also complete calculus and analytical geometry options, intermediate calculus, and either differential equations or linear algebra. Students select one major elective, and the total major units range from 35 to 37 units.
