Introduction

The Associate of Science in Social Science, Major in Community & Provider Services is designed to provide students with relevant knowledge, skills, and attitudes to support people with mental illness and intellectual deficits. Students study college composition and quantitative and statistical reasoning, along with courses in mental health skill training, intellectual disabilities, psychology, sociology, and public speaking.
The program is a four-semester, two-year associate degree. It follows a suggested course sequence across four semesters, including biology courses, psychology and sociology courses, and an internship option in the final semester. The last semester includes Activities Documentation & Programming and Developmental Psychology, plus Coordinated Internship or Coordinated Internship in Human Services.

Admission Requirements
