Medical Assistant

Medical Assistant is a program taught at YTI Career Institute, USA. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (As few as 20 Months) options.

The Medical Assistant program at YTI Career Institute prepares students for work as a medical assistant, covering both administrative and clinical duties. Students may handle front office tasks such as greeting patients, scheduling appointments, completing medical records and billing. The program also supports hands-on patient care such as recording vital signs, preparing patients for examination, and basic lab procedures. The degree awarded is an Associate in Specialized Technology.

This is a hybrid program with lecture delivered online and labs on campus in York, PA. Training includes industry-modeled instruction and a ten week externship in actual medical facilities. The program is taught by instructors who have worked in the field. While employment is not guaranteed, Career Services provides job-search support, including resume and cover letter writing and interviewing skills.

Enrollment is no longer accepting new enrollments for the Medical Assistant program at the YTI York Campus. Students are encouraged to explore the Medical Assisting Diploma program.

The minimum requirements for admission in Medical Assistant at YTI Career Institute for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:

• program specific academic requirment set by YTI Career Institute.
• English Language OR any other language requirments as set by YTI Career Institute as pre-requiste for admission in Medical Assistant.
