Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Network Engineering

Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Network Engineering is a Bachelor program taught at Bindura University of Science Education, Zimbabwe. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (4 years full time study) options.

The Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Network Engineering at Bindura University of Science Education helps students develop analytical and problem-solving skills for real-world computer networking scenarios. Students build capabilities independently and in teams using a practical, systematic approach, focused on computer networking, wireless and advanced network technologies, artificial intelligence design, data communications, mobile computing, and multimedia technologies.

The degree runs over four years of full-time study, with two semesters per year. Taught courses cover the first two years and the final year, while the third academic year is reserved for Industrial Attachment. Students also complete final research projects in Network Engineering, plus modules such as Network Planning and Design, Networking Protocols, Virtualisation and Cloud Computing, and Wireless Networks and Mobile Computing.

The minimum requirements for admission in Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Network Engineering at Bindura University of Science Education for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:

• program specific academic requirment set by Bindura University of Science Education.
• English Language OR any other language requirments as set by Bindura University of Science Education as pre-requiste for admission in Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Network Engineering.

All applicants have to meet the following minimum requirements for admission prescribed under the general regulations (i.e):

• For all entry pathways candidates must have at least five ‘O’ Level subjects/ National Foundation Certificates including English Language, Mathematics and a Science subject at grade C or better.
• Normal Entry: A minimum of two ‘A’ Level passes in either Mathematics, Computer Science/Computing and any one of the following subjects Physics, Accounting, Economics, Management of Business/Business Studies, Biology, Chemistry or any other relevant subject
• Special Entry: Special entry may be granted to applicants with a National Diploma in Computer Science/Information Technology or any related field from a recognized institution.
• Mature Entry: Should be at least 23 years old AND have at least 2 years’ relevant industrial experience
