The School of Computing, Engineering and Mathematics is offering postgraduate research scholarship to undertake fluid dynamics research. Scholarship is available for domestic and international students (charged tuition fees). Students must have depth knowledge of Fluid Mechanics and numerical methods be excellent in written and communication. This scholarship includes Tax-free stipend of $30,000 per annum up to three years for full-time study. The application deadline is June 7, 2013.

Eligibility:-Excellent Bachelor Honours degree or Research Masters degree in Civil, Mechanical or Ocean Engineering or equivalent qualifications and/or experience -In-depth knowledge of Fluid Mechanics and numerical methods -Interest in the area of numerical modelling in offshore oil and gas engineering -Excellent written and communication -Capacity to work both independently and as a team member

Scholarship Description: The School of Computing, Engineering and Mathematics is seeking an excellent doctoral candidate to undertake fluid dynamics research as part of an Australian Research Council (ARC) funded project: Local Scour below Offshore Pipelines on Calcareous Sediments

What does it cover? -Tax-free stipend of $30,000 per annum for up to three years, full-time study. -Funded place in the degree for domestic candidates. -International applicants are welcome to apply but will be charged tuition fees. Selection Criteria: The criteria for allocation of awards are primarily based on academic merit. Academic merit includes undergraduate performance, bachelor Honours awards, other postgraduate degrees, publications in refereed journals, and the presentation of conference papers. When assessing applicants, the selection panel may take into consideration other relevant experience. Please provide full bibliographic details of publications.
