University of Wollongong offers Early Start PhD scholarships in Australia.  Scholarships are provided in the fields of cognitive development and learning,  healthy lifestyles, social transformation, and digital learning and engagement  for Australian and International applicants. Several PhD scholarships are  currently being offered for three years. Applicants should be submitted till  12th July 2013.

Eligibility: Open to Australian and International applicants  who meet UOW PhD entry requirements (Hons I or Masters) in the following fields:  education, health, psychology, child development, sociology, information  technology, social marketing, medicine, social work and sustainable  communities.

Scholarship Open for International  Students: Australian and International applicants can apply  for these scholarships.

Scholarship Description: Several PhD scholarships are  currently being offered within Early Start. These scholarships are available in  any of the following research areas: cognitive development and learning, healthy  lifestyles, social transformation, and digital learning and engagement. The  scholarships are designed to enable recipients to commence research in  partnership with the Engagement Centers in late 2013 or early 2014, if their project aligns with these  centers.

Duration of award(s): Scholarships  are offered for 3 years.

What does it cover? -Scholarship stipend is  $24,653 per annum for 3 years. -An additional allowance of up to $20,000 per  scholarship is available to cover project related costs such as travel
