International Graduate Fellowships , The American University in Cairo

International Graduate Fellowships are offered by The American University in Cairo to highly qualified international students who wish to pursue full-time study toward a master’s degree in one of the graduate programs at AUC. Full-time study is defined as nine credits per semester.

The fellowship is for international applicants open to all disciplines of graduate studies. New applicants must have full admission to a graduate program that satisfies AUC’s graduate full admission requirements. Continuing students must maintain a GPA of 3.2 to retain the fellowship.

Selection includes holding international applicant eligibility, meeting admission or continuation conditions, and demonstrating financial need. Recipients receive support subject to a review every semester for satisfactory academic performance.

The fellowship is awarded for a maximum duration of five semesters and one intervening summer session, with a review every semester for satisfactory academic performance. For the Counseling Psychology graduate program, the duration may be extended to a maximum of seven semesters. Fellows are assigned 12 hours per week of related academic work and must maintain full-time status and a minimum GPA of 3.2, and complete mandatory training if involved in teaching assistantship duties.
