Scholarship Description: CEAFJP is currently accepting applications for a postdoctoral contract of ten months, from 1 November 2018 to 31 August 2019. International students are eligible to apply for this fellowship.
This call for a post-doctoral fellowship promotes integrated approaches to the transformations of contemporary capitalisms in Asia and explore the links between the changes of capitalism at global, national and local levels on the one hand and technological, social, and political transformation on the other. Areas of particular interest include corporate diversity and institutional change; inequalities and welfare; developmental states.
Scholarship Provider: The Franco-Japanese Center for Advanced Studies in Paris (CEAFJP) was created in 2014 within the France-Japan Foundation of EHESS in order to constitute a team of researchers and to structure its scientific activities. Its main activities are hosting Japanese researchers and specialists from Japan, organizing conferences and seminars and publishing studies and articles. Beyond research on Japan, the FFJ has gradually extended its scope of activities to the rest of Asia, Europe, and Africa.
Degree Level: Fellowship is available to pursue Postdoctoral programme.
Available Subject: This call for a post-doctoral fellowship promotes integrated approaches to the transformations of contemporary capitalisms in Asia and explore the links between the changes of capitalism at global, national and local levels on the one hand and technological, social, and political transformation on the other. Thus, we welcome applicants from the Political economy, Sociology, History, Law and we encourage research projects that focus on Asia’s experience from a comparative, historical, or global perspective.

Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible for this scholarship you must meet the following requirements:
Candidates must be scholars who have submitted or will submit their PhD thesis between October 2015 and October 2018. Proficiency in either English or French is required.
English Language Requirements: Proficiency in either English or French is required.
