Master in Electrical Engineering for Smart Grids and Buildings

This Master in Electrical Engineering for Smart Grids and Buildings trains students to manage the full energy chain (production, distribution, use) with consideration of economic, human, and social factors. Students learn to design, analyze, model, solve, and operate a complex energy system, using analytical, numerical, and experimental tools, and to develop diagnostic techniques for complex problems. The program also supports work in interdisciplinary, research, or industrial projects in an international context.

Training focuses on complex energy systems and engineering work that accounts for environmental and human constraints. The language of instruction is English 100%, and international mobility is indicated through an international student share of 97.5%. Students have internships abroad: there is a short-term internship offered through the program and a 5 month work placement through the program. Industrial work placements (mandatory internships) in companies are paid.

Entry requirements include a Bachelor degree in either Science (BSc) or Engineering (BEng), including courses in electrical engineering. English language: B1 level. Application deadline : April 15th. Application deadline for starting the full programme in September is April 15th.
