UOP Crowd4SDG Research Scholarships in Climate and Gender Inequalities

Crowd4SDG launches a second call for proposals around climate change and gender issues. Crowd4SDG is described as a three-year Horizon Research and Innovation Action that promotes citizen science projects tackling climate-change-related Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Université Paris Cité and its associated research lab Centre de Recherche Interdisciplinaire (CRI) are listed as partners.

The call focuses on SDG 5 (Gender Equality) and SDG 13 (Climate Action) through the #Open17ClimateGender challenge. Applicants can develop projects addressing these SDGs using crowdsourcing, described as information gathered or actions taken by a large group of ordinary citizens. The challenge is open to individuals or teams and includes participation from partner universities.

After the call for projects is completed, the #Open17ClimateGender challenge offers a five-week online interactive coaching programme tailored to global innovators for the selected 50 applicants. Five teams are then selected to participate in an online challenge-based innovation workshop led by CERN IdeaSquare, where teams learn to build a functional prototype and connect with communities and social innovation experts.

• Applicants must be 16 or older.Applications must be in English.Participants should have a good command of written and spoken English.The challenge is open to any individual or team of up to four people anywhere in the world.The challenge is also open to individuals or a team in partner universities.
