The Leo Baeck Fellowship Program Overview:
An chance for international students to receive a fully funded research grant is the Leo Baeck Fellowship programme. This fellowship offers a 1,350 euro monthly stipend in addition to a 100 euro monthly research cost grant.
Doctoral candidates who are working on a dissertation in the area of the history and culture of Central European Judaism are the target audience for the global Leo Baeck Fellowship Programme. All projects with a relationship to German-speaking Judaism are accepted, regardless of their time period, field (such as literature, philosophy, history, or musicology), or geographic location (such as Europe, America, or Israel).
In addition to providing funding for a year, the programme provides chances for networking and scientific exchange. It is accessible to PhD students from all countries and academic institutions around the world. The Leo Baeck Institute London and the Study Foundation jointly host two workshops, which the fellows attend while still attending their respective institutions.
