Technische Universität München offers the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) for Berufliche Bildung, Fachrichtung Agrarwirtschaft (Lehramt an beruflichen Schulen). The program prepares future teachers for berufliche schools in agrarwirtschaft. In the Bachelor phase, students focus on competencies in the vocational field and on foundational knowledge and skills in pedagogy and other social and educational sciences.
The course is full-time with Regelstudienzeit of 6 Semester and 180 ECTS. It is delivered across three areas: the berufliche Fachrichtung, an Unterrichtsfach, and Bildungs- und Sozialwissenschaften. The vocational subject is the largest part in the Bachelor phase, while the Master phase emphasizes subject didactics. Students gain first experiences in the school profession starting from the first semester.
With the subsequent Masterabschluss and a Berufspraktikum, the program qualifies graduates for the Vorbereitungsdienst (Referendariat). After completing the Referendariat, graduates can teach at Berufsschulen and also at Berufsfachschulen, Förderschulen, Fachschulen, Meisterschulen, Fachakademien, Fach- and Berufsoberschulen.
