University of Passau Scholarship

The Donation Barometer project is supported financially by the association “Friends of the University”, and for every questionnaire completed by new students, students completing their studies, and graduates, the association donates two euros to scholarships for students facing financial hardship. Students can obtain a one-off stipend of up to 300 euros from these funds.

The scholarship is for students enrolled at the University of Passau in their second semester or higher who receive loans or grants under the German law on student loans and grants (BAföG). The net income of the person(s) obliged to provide for the student's maintenance must not exceed twice the BAföG allowance.

Gross annual income does not affect the stipend if it is below the stated thresholds: 15,000 euros for applicants and 8,000 euros for every additional dependent child. Applications are submitted online and only complete online applications are considered.

The support is a one-off stipend. Students apply online and submit the listed documents; international students should apply using the form for the emergency scholarship.

• Students must be enrolled at the University of Passau.

• A certificate of enrolment for the current semester
• An up-to-date extract from the Campus Portal (transcript, preliminary examination certificate, bachelor's degree certificate, proof of language skills)
• Proof of need (e.g. BAföG notice)
