The Doctor of Philosophy / Master of Philosophy (Academy of Film) at Hong Kong Baptist University is a research postgraduate programme for studying film through areas such as Cinema and Television History, Aesthetics, Auteur Studies, Critical Theory and Cultural Studies, Sinophone Cinema, Documentary, and Gender, Sexuality and Queer. Other fields include Media Industries and Platform Studies, Fans and Audiences, Media Globalization, Nation and Ethnicity, and Ecocinema.
