Japan College of Social Work: the applicant's brief

6 findings
  1. The short answer

Japan College of Social Work is a public university in Kiyose, Tokyo, for students interested in social-work study in Japan. It suits applicants who want a Japan-based institution with tuition set at the national-university level rather than typical private-university pricing.

  2. What you can study

The institution’s name shows a focus on social work. No subject list or programme catalogue is published in the facts here, so confirm the exact degrees, majors, and admission tracks on the university website before applying.

  3. Getting in

International applicants should check the official website for the current application route, required documents, deadlines, and any Japanese-language or entry-test requirements. Because detailed admissions rules are not published here, confirm the process directly with the admissions office before you apply.

  4. What it costs

The tuition level is described as the same as other national universities, even though the institution is public. A specific fee amount is not published, so confirm the current tuition with the admissions office; living costs in Tokyo will still need to be planned separately.

  5. Coming from abroad

The language of instruction is not published. Before applying from abroad, confirm the teaching language, whether you need Japanese-language proof, how to submit documents from overseas, and whether student support is available for visa and arrival steps.

  6. How it compares

Among 571 universities in Japan, this institution stands out as a social-work-focused college rather than a broad multi-faculty university. Its main practical distinction is cost: tuition is described as matching national universities, which may make it more manageable than many private options in Japan.

Written from this university's catalogue entry and its cited encyclopedia summary. Figures are only shown where the institution or a cited source publishes them — always confirm fees and entry requirements with the university itself before applying.
