Islamic University of Rotterdam: the applicant's brief

6 findings
  1. The short answer

Islamic University of Rotterdam is a public university in the Netherlands offering study across professional, bachelor’s, master’s and PhD/doctorate levels. It suits applicants who want a broad, multi-level programme choice and need a university that publishes at least some subject options in business, science and health-related areas.

  2. What you can study

The university lists 12 programmes across Professional, Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree and PhD / Doctorate levels. Example programmes include Academic Practice, Accounting, Accounting (Major) with French, Accounting (Major) with Spanish, Accounting, Finance and Analytics, Actuarial Science, Actuarial Science and Risk Management, Advanced Accounting with Placement, Advanced Clinical Pharmacy Practice, Advanced Food Safety, Advanced Healthcare Practice and Advanced Pharmacy Practice.

  3. Getting in

International applicants should apply through the university's official admissions process and check the current entry requirements for the specific programme they want to study. The university website should be used to confirm document requirements, deadlines, and whether any language or prior-study conditions apply.

  4. What it costs

The university does not publish a tuition fee in the available information; confirm the current rate with its admissions office. Living costs in Rotterdam will depend on housing, transport and daily spending, so check current local costs before applying.

  5. Coming from abroad

The language of instruction is not published, so confirm it on the official website for the exact programme. Before applying, check the entry requirements, whether your previous qualification is accepted, what documents are needed, and how student residence and funding arrangements work for your situation.

  6. How it compares

There are 49 universities in the Netherlands, so this institution sits within a crowded national higher-education market. Its published programme mix is relatively broad for a small catalogue because it spans professional, bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral study rather than focusing on a single level.

Written from this university's catalogue entry and its cited encyclopedia summary. Figures are only shown where the institution or a cited source publishes them — always confirm fees and entry requirements with the university itself before applying.
