Bainbridge State College: the applicant's brief

6 findings
  1. The short answer

Bainbridge State College was a public college in Bainbridge, Georgia, in the United States. It suits a student looking for bachelor’s or master’s study in social science and helping-profession fields, but it no longer operates as a standalone college because it was merged into Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in 2017.

  2. What you can study

The college offered 64 programmes at bachelor’s and master’s level. Example programmes included Criminal Justice, Family Science, Family Therapy, Forensic Psychology, History, Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy, Politics, Psychology, Psychology: Pre-Counseling, Social Sciences Education, Secondary, Sociology, and Sport Psychology.

  3. Getting in

As the college was merged in 2017, applicants should check Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College for any current programme ownership, admissions route, and transfer or teach-out arrangements. For any historic programme information, confirm directly with the current admissions office and the official website before applying.

  4. What it costs

A tuition fee range is not published. Confirm current tuition and any international student charges with the admissions office; living costs in Bainbridge will depend on housing, transport, and personal spending.

  5. Coming from abroad

The language of instruction is not published, so confirm that on the official website before applying. If you are moving from abroad, check whether the programme still exists under the current institution, what documents are required, how your qualifications are assessed, and whether you need a visa before you commit.

  6. How it compares

Among 2,515 universities in the United States, this was a small public college rather than a large multi-faculty university. Its profile was narrower than many US institutions because the listed study areas cluster around psychology, counselling, sociology, history, and related social science fields, and it is no longer a standalone institution after the 2017 merger.

Written from this university's catalogue entry and its cited encyclopedia summary. Figures are only shown where the institution or a cited source publishes them — always confirm fees and entry requirements with the university itself before applying.
