Louisiana State University: the applicant's brief

6 findings
  1. The short answer

Louisiana State University is a public university in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and it suits students who want a U.S. degree at bachelor’s or master’s level. It is a better fit for applicants who are comfortable checking programme availability carefully, because only a small set of programmes is listed.

  2. What you can study

You can study at bachelor’s and master’s level. Example programmes listed include Accounting, Accounting and Finance, Acoustics, Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, Agricultural Sciences, Agriculture and Food Systems, and Allied Health Leadership. The full programme catalogue is still being compiled, so check the official university website for the current list and whether the course you want is open to international applicants.

  3. Getting in

International applicants should apply through the university’s official admissions process and check the programme page for entry requirements, deadlines, and document rules. Because the published information here does not give country-specific requirements, confirm whether your intended degree asks for transcripts, English language evidence, test scores, or any extra documents on the official site.

  4. What it costs

The university does not publish a fee range here, so confirm the current tuition and any mandatory charges with its admissions office. As a public university in the United States, you should also budget separately for living costs in Baton Rouge, including housing, food, transport, and health expenses.

  5. Coming from abroad

The language of instruction is not stated here, so confirm it on the official university website before you apply. If you are moving from abroad, check visa timing, document deadlines, tuition payment methods, and whether your programme has any extra requirements for international students.

  6. How it compares

Among 2,515 universities in the United States, Louisiana State University stands out as a public institution with both bachelor’s and master’s options, but the published programme list here is limited. That means it may suit applicants who already have a subject in mind and are willing to verify the current catalogue directly.

Written from this university's catalogue entry and its cited encyclopedia summary. Figures are only shown where the institution or a cited source publishes them — always confirm fees and entry requirements with the university itself before applying.
