  3. Getting in

Application requirements for international students are not published here, so check the official admissions website for entry documents, deadlines, English-language requirements, and how to submit academic records. If you are applying from abroad, confirm visa-related steps and whether your programme has any additional selection requirements.

  4. What it costs

The university does not publish a tuition fee in the available information; confirm the current rate with its admissions office. Living costs in Durham will also depend on housing, food, transport, and personal spending, so check the university’s current guidance before you apply.

  5. Coming from abroad

The language of instruction is not stated, so confirm it on the official website before applying. If you are moving from abroad, check admission documents, visa steps, deadlines, and whether your chosen programme has extra entry conditions or required tests.

  6. How it compares

Among 2,515 universities in the United States, this is a public institution with bachelor’s and master’s study and a catalogue of 66 programmes. That puts it in the group of established comprehensive universities rather than a small single-subject college, and its historically black identity may matter if you are comparing institutional context as well as programme choice.

Written from this university's catalogue entry and its cited encyclopedia summary. Figures are only shown where the institution or a cited source publishes them — always confirm fees and entry requirements with the university itself before applying.
