Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Technology1

The Lateral Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Technology at Manipal University is for students who completed a 2 or 3-year diploma program in medical laboratory technology. The course builds on existing knowledge and skills and supports students to enter the bachelor program at the second year stage (or third semester). It provides knowledge, technical skills, and hands-on experience for performing diagnostic testing in medical laboratories.

The program combines theoretical knowledge with practical training in laboratory techniques. It includes academics and a compulsory internship. Students are prepared to work in clinical and research laboratory settings and to perform, develop, evaluate, correlate, and assure the accuracy and validity of laboratory information, and to understand the role of laboratory tests in patient care.

For the Lateral BSc MLT, you must have completed 2 /3 years diploma program in medical laboratory technology.
