The Bachelor of Social Work (Honours with Research) at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham is a four-year undergraduate program under the School of Social and Behavioural Sciences. It combines social work principles with research methodologies, with study areas including social welfare policies, human behaviour, community development, counselling techniques, advocacy, social justice, Gender, Technology, research, and field work practicum.
The curriculum is organised across multiple semesters and includes field work from Field Work-I through Field Work-VII, plus research work such as Research Project-I and Research Project-II. Students also take coursework across areas like social welfare administration, public health, sustainable development, human rights and social justice, quantitative and qualitative research, project formulation and management, and data analysis and interpretation.
