International Excellence Scholarship at University of Birmingham in UK 2014
University of Birmingham is inviting application for international excellence scholarship in the area of electronic, electrical and computer engineering. This scholarship is valued at £1,500 individually and will be added to the £1,500 International Entry Bursary to result in a total of £3,000 awarded as a tuition fee contribution. This scholarship will be paid directly to the School of Electronic, Electrical and Computer Engineering (EECE) on behalf of the award holder. The application deadline is 1 October 2014.

- The International Excellence Scholarship is awarded to overseas undergraduate students who apply to study Electronic, Electrical and Computer Engineering in recognition of academic excellence. A wide range of international qualifications will be considered – please contact the admissions tutor to find out the criteria that would apply in each case.
- This excellence scholarship will be paid directly to the School of Electronic, Electrical and Computer Engineering (EECE) on behalf of the award holder. To retain the Excellence Scholarship, students must continue to perform at first class level – ie they must achieve an average mark of at least 70% at the end of each year.
- This scholarship is valued at £1,500 individually and will be added to the £1,500 International Entry Bursary to result in a total of £3,000 awarded as a tuition fee contribution.
- There is no special application process – the awards will be made automatically to all eligible students admitted to the School of Electronic, Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Birmingham who apply by the end of September to commence their studies in the October of their year of entry.
Eligibility: In order to qualify for this award, an applicant must:
-Be classed as Overseas for fee purposes;
-Have made a programme in EECE their firm choice;
-Have achieved AAA at A Level or equivalent qualifications.
-Scholars cannot be in receipt of a fully-funded fees scholarship from an external body. (Part-funded students should contact to Admissions Tutor for further information with regards to eligibility).
- Overseas (Non-EU) students can apply for this excellence scholarship.
