Internship Programme for Africa (RAF) At The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO)

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) spearheads global initiatives to eradicate hunger and achieve comprehensive food security, ensuring that individuals have consistent access to an ample supply of high-quality food for active and healthy living. Operating in more than 130 countries with over 195 Member States, FAO believes in the collective responsibility of everyone to contribute to ending hunger.

The Internship Programme, specifically the Regional Office for Africa (RAF), seeks to engage enthusiastic young individuals, both men and women, who are driven to share their fresh perspectives, inventive ideas, and recent academic experiences within FAO’s spheres of influence. This initiative offers participants a valuable learning experience, enabling them to enhance their academic knowledge through practical work assignments aligned with FAO’s mission.

During their internship at FAO, participants will actively contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and FAO’s Strategic Framework, supporting the 2030 Agenda. The aim is to facilitate the transformation towards more efficient, inclusive, resilient, and sustainable agri-food systems. This transformation seeks to improve production, enhance nutrition, foster a healthier environment, and ultimately contribute to a better life for all, ensuring that no one is left behind.
