Polaris Community Outreach Internship Summer 2024

Job Summary:

• Work closely with the Senior Manager, Community Outreach.
• Develop and execute strategies for community outreach, corporate giving, and charitable sponsorships.
• Manage programs designed to promote a favorable company reputation through employee and community engagement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute Polaris Gives Week campaigns, including designing events, promotional materials, and presentations.
• Write monthly newsletters.
• Research, plan, and implement community events.
• Manage the Polaris Gives website – the hub for volunteering and donations.
• Represent Polaris externally at various events and meetings.
• Track Polaris Foundation donation vehicles.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 preferred.
• Ability to complete a 12-week internship (40 hours/week) between May/June and August 2024.
• Excellent event planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Passion for contributing to personal and company goals through creative thinking.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, Word, and SharePoint).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous internship/co-op experience.
• Leadership experience in work, organizations, or classroom settings.
• Completion of at least two years of university coursework.

Work Environment:

• In-office/hybrid role based out of Polaris’ headquarters in Medina, MN.
• Dynamic and collaborative work environment.
