Internship Position Description – Real Time & Automated Performance Profiling

Software Development Internship position within Ricoh Control Unit Development organization in Boulder Colorado. The Control Unit Development Team delivers high quality solutions composed of Linux-based and some Windows-based software running on multiple hardware platforms, to drive Continuous Forms and Cutsheet printers. Our software engineers are generally involved in every phase of the development process, including architecture, planning, design, implementation, unit test, documentation, and providing ongoing support for product test and field support groups. The successful intern must have experience working within a Linux environment and be experienced in network socket programming as well as some full-stack experience creating web-based client-server software systems in C++ or Python.

Compensation range is $20.50 – $28.00

Required Skills:

Programming experience in Python (v3.x preferred)
Programming experience in C/C++
Software development in Linux OS environment
Network socket programming experience and/or Linux daemons and/or Internet-based client/server software in Python and/or C++, Java, or other C-like language
Strong debugging and analytical skills.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with Python Mongodb libraries
Experience with Python GUI development and/or graphics libraries
Development methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, etc.)
Web development skills – HTML5, JSP, JavaScript, CSS

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, and Certifications)

Working towards – B.S., M.S., or PhD. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
Student must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university or enrolled to continue their education in an accredited graduate program.
Students must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
Students are to successfully complete all required screenings prior to hire
