Summer Internship Program Canon USA-2023

Canon Virginia understands that internships are critical to the academic, career, and personal development of our future workforce. Through our internship program, we are preparing and positioning students to learn the skills necessary to be successful in the workforce We look for talented students who can collaborate, communicate, problem-solve and exhibit grace under pressure, all while working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications:
•Utilizes good time management skills to effectively and accurately complete work
•knowledge of a professional work environment
•Applies research techniques, analytical methods, presentation skills, writing skills, and /
•Student must be 18 years of age or older and working towards an undergraduate degree with
•the minimum credit hours to be classified as a junior or senior in their studies
• Students must have taken several related courses to the field in which they will be assigned
•Strong written and verbal communication
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
Responsibilities
• Gains industry and/or organizational knowledge through daily business interactions and
• Performs diverse and challenging tasks to gain valuable hands-on experience
• Assists CVI staff on various projects, tasks, and activities relating to their area of study or
• course work; performs day-to-day work that aligns with the function of the business unit
• Performs assigned tasks consistently in a professional and timely manner to meet
• Exercises good judgment and knowledge from the classroom setting and applies
• Adheres to company policies and procedures governing professional staff behavior
• Balances internship work schedule effectively with classroom coursework
• May be responsible for research, reports, spreadsheets, presentations, etc. as part of the
• May work in several departments to assist with completing any additional projects or
• Participates in activities designed for development during assignment (i.e
• Lunch and
• Learns, Roundtable Discussions, etc.)
• Prepares presentation summarizing the experiences gained through the internship and presents to peers and management.
• May attend meetings and/or company events
