Diploma in Capital Markets and Investment

The Professional Diploma in Capital Markets and Investment at Griffith College helps you understand how capital markets function, how risk can be managed, and how to assess investment opportunities using financial data. You study capital markets overview topics, including equities and fundamental analysis, bonds and the role of interest rates, foreign exchange and commodities, alternative investments and structured products, derivatives and risk management, and investment vehicles.

Griffith College delivers the programme part-time over 12 weeks as one evening per week from 6 pm to 8 pm. Students attend either on-campus classes or live online classes using Zoom. The course includes portfolio management and evaluation, private equity investment, tax, and compliance and regulation. Graduates may consider academic progression to the BA [Hons] in Accounting & Finance at Griffith College.

Mature Students
Direct Entry - If you are 23 years or over from the 1st January of this year, you can apply for this course directly using the College’s online application form.

Under 23 Years
Minimum of 2 H5 and 4 O6/H7 grades, to include Maths and a language (English, Irish or another language) in the Irish Leaving Certificate or equivalent award
Or
FETAC Level 5 Full Award with 3 Distinctions

It is recommended that applicants have a good understanding of both written and spoken English.
