Diploma in Leadership Skills

Griffith College’s Professional Diploma in Leadership Skills is a part-time course for aspiring, new or experienced managers, supervisors and team leaders. Students explore the leadership role within an organisation, including trust-based leadership, emotionally intelligent leadership, navigating change, leading a hybrid team, diversity and inclusion, managing conflict, coaching for success, decision-making at speed, problem-solving, and the leader as a presenter.

The course runs for 12 weeks with one evening per week (6.30pm–9.30pm). It is available online as live online classes using Zoom and also includes on-campus delivery in Dublin and Cork. Students complete action plans for areas of development and apply coaching and communication techniques to support performance discussions and relationships at work.

• How does Emotional Intelligence support Leaders to be successful?
• Navigating Change
• Understand the difference between change and transition management.

All applicants must be a user of Microsoft Office.

• Applicants under 23 years of age: Minimum 5 O6s/H7s in the Irish Leaving Certificate or equivalent award; Or FETAC Level 5 Full Award
• Applicants over the age of 23 (Mature students): Direct entry - If you are 23 years or over from the 1st January of this year, you can apply for this course directly using the College’s online application form.

It is recommended that applicants have a good understanding of both written and spoken English.
