University of Venice Scholarships for BS, MS and PhD

The University of Venice, on behalf of the Veneto Region, manages the assignment of regional scholarships for student financial aid for Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. Regional scholarships consist of a certain amount of money and some services, including accommodation and canteen services managed by ESU Venezia, aiming to help students with living costs.

Eligibility and the scholarship amount depend on the student’s status categories defined by residence and commute time: non-resident/off-site, commuter, and local/on site. The page also defines a financially independent student category, with a regional scholarship amount linked to the “non resident” category, regardless of distance in Italy with relation to the administrative headquarters of the course.

The University of Venice states that selection depends on meeting income and merit requirements (economic condition ISEE and asset condition ISPE) and meeting the definitions for the relevant student status. For non-resident/off-site status confirmation, students must upload a rental contract through an online form in their reserved area, and must comply with the rental-contract and signer/co-signer rules, or their status can be downgraded.

For non-resident/off-site status, the page requires a legally compliant paid rental contract with a minimum duration of at least 10 months, or 5 months if applying for the scholarship for the last semester. If an ESU accommodation place is used, the page states that €1,600.00 will be deducted from the scholarship amount for the accommodation service. If requesting off-site status, students must be signers or co-signers of the rental contract and have payment receipts in their name.
