Asian Future Leaders Scholarship Program (AFLSP) at Kyoto University

The Asian Future Leaders Scholarship Program at Kyoto University (AFLSP@KU) was established by Bai Xian Asia Institute (BXAI). Its stated aim is to provide a platform for students and educational institutions in Asia to cultivate lasting relationships and deepen mutual understanding and trust by building bridges across cultures. AFLSP@KU provides a two-year scholarship with substantial living support, admission fee support, and tuition fee support, plus a professional enrichment program.

AFLSP@KU is aimed at students who have citizenship of one of the listed countries or regions: China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Korea, India, Indonesia, Cambodia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Nepal, Pakistan, Bangladesh, East Timor, Philippines, Bhutan, Brunei, Vietnam, Malaysia, Myanmar, Maldives, Mongolia, and Laos. Applicants are expected to read the complete eligibility and selection criteria to confirm they are qualified.

Selection is carried out through the AFLSP@KU selection process. Applicants are also instructed to check the obligations of AFLSP scholars and are required to complete the program requirements. Support is for two years under the AFLSP@KU scholarship, and scholars participate in operating the program along with alumni to help cultivate future leaders.
