SC-YNU Joint Scholarship Program -Admissions Open

The CSC-YNU Joint Scholarship Program is based on the Chinese Government Graduate Student Overseas Study Program and is conducted through collaboration between Yokohama National University (YNU) and the China Scholarship Council (CSC). Under a memorandum of understanding signed between CSC and YNU, YNU recruits applicants and screens them before recommending short-listed applicants to CSC.

YNU recruits Chinese students who want to enter graduate schools as doctoral students with admission in October or as doctoral students with admission in April. It also recruits Chinese students who want to arrive in Japan in October and during the period up to the end of March to enter graduate schools as special research doctoral students as co-supervised doctoral study students.

For doctoral students and co-supervised doctoral study students, YNU conducts screening of applicants, and those who pass the screening are short-listed and recommended to the CSC. YNU also accepts Chinese researchers for research at YNU as visiting research fellows (visiting fellows or postdoctoral fellows) under the CSC arrangement described for the relevant period.

For visiting research fellows, the research period is 3–12 months for visiting fellows and 6–24 months for postdoctoral fellows.

2. For Doctoral Students: use the Doctoral Students application guidelines and prepare the required application documents (including the conditional acceptance form, application form, field of study and research plan, and academic performance entry sheet).
3. For Co-supervised Doctoral Study Students: use the Co-supervised Doctoral Study Students application guidelines and prepare the required application documents (including the conditional acceptance form, application form, field of study and research, and academic performance entry sheet).
4. Upload all documents to the indicated upload location between Monday 13January and Tuesday 28 January.
5. For Visiting Fellows / Postdoctoral Fellows: follow the instructions referenced for accepting visiting research fellows under the relevant CSC agreement, and contact the listed office for details.
