Amman Arab University for Higher Studies: the applicant's brief

6 findings
  1. The short answer

Amman Arab University for Higher Studies is a university in Jordan, and it suits students who want to study in Amman and are looking for a place with an established local presence. Its public programme information is limited here, so confirm the current offerings and admissions details on the university website before applying.

  2. What you can study

The university’s published summary does not list current subject areas or degree programmes, so the programme catalogue needs to be checked on the official website. It is described as a university in Amman that began with postgraduate study and later started accepting undergraduates, so confirm whether the specific level and subject you want is currently available.

  3. Getting in

International applicants should check the university’s official admissions page for the current entry requirements, application steps, document list, and deadlines. The university has offered postgraduate and undergraduate study at different points in its history, so confirm that your intended level is open now and whether any programme-specific conditions apply.

  4. What it costs

The university does not publish a tuition fee in the information available here; confirm the current fee with its admissions office. Living costs in Amman will still depend on housing, transport, and personal spending, so budget separately for those.

  5. Coming from abroad

The language of instruction is not stated, so confirm it before applying. Also check visa requirements, whether your previous qualifications are accepted, how your documents must be certified, and whether the programme you want is open to international students.

  6. How it compares

Jordan has 29 universities, so this institution sits in a fairly crowded higher-education market. Its main distinguishing feature is its early focus on postgraduate study in Amman, which may appeal more to students seeking graduate options than to those comparing large, broad-based universities.

Written from this university's catalogue entry and its cited encyclopedia summary. Figures are only shown where the institution or a cited source publishes them — always confirm fees and entry requirements with the university itself before applying.
