Bachelor of Arts in Social Work

The Bachelor of Arts in Social Work at St. Pauls University equips learners with skills to empower communities in development and poverty reduction. The course focuses on enabling graduates to enhance social, economic, ecological, physical, and psychological development at individual and community levels. The programme supports Kenya's Vision by preparing students for roles in grassroots community development, NGOs, and government bodies. It is delivered through face-to-face lectures, seminars, case studies, field trips, and exercises, as well as virtual learning with e-learning platforms that support interactive materials and assessments. Students can study in regular day, evening, or virtual modes, with options for blended learning combining both face-to-face and online methods.

KCSE grade C+ with C- in English or its equivalents with a minimum of a C+ in any three of the following subjects: English, Mathematics, Biology, Geography, Economics or Agriculture; OR KACE with at least 2 principals and 2 subsidiaries; OR A Diploma in a related area with at least a Credit Pass.
