As an additional option, you can also apply for the Harvard University MBA Scholarship, which offers financial aid amounting to US$95,000 towards tuition fees.

Eligibility Criteria for Leiden University Excellence Scholarships

To qualify for the Leiden University Excellence Scholarships (LexS), candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Required Language: English
• Eligible Countries: Non-EU/EEA international students
• Demonstrated excellence in prior academic education, typically ranking among the top 10% for the relevant program studied abroad.
• Hold a non-EU/EEA passport and be ineligible for Dutch study grants and loans.
• Note that continuation of the scholarship is not guaranteed if you change your degree program during your studies. Decisions will be made on a case-by-case basis.
• The scholarship is valid only while you are registered as a full-time student at Leiden University within the specified program duration.
• A Leiden University Excellence Scholarship cannot be transferred to another academic year or intake if you postpone your participation.
• Combining multiple full scholarships is generally not allowed.
• You must adhere to Dutch visa regulations.

Application Procedure for Leiden University Excellence Scholarships

Follow these steps to apply for the Leiden University Excellence Scholarships:

1. Apply online for admission to a Master’s program at Leiden University and pay the application fee if applicable.
2. In the scholarship section of your online application, indicate your desire to apply for a LExS.
3. Upload your LExS motivation letter, a Word document of up to 500 words explaining why you should be considered for the award.
4. Submit your online application, including your LExS application, before the specified deadline.
5. If you’re applying for multiple study programs and wish to apply for a LExS for each, clearly state this in each application and provide a separate LExS motivation letter for each.
