Overview
The Erasmus+ Students Grant is for study periods in Europe. It is provided by the Agency for International Educational Affairs (AIBA) under the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union and is paid out by the International Office. Financial support and academic recognition of study stays abroad are described as part of the Erasmus+ mobility framework.
Students are entitled to an Erasmus+ mobility grant for study periods in Europe. Additional support is available under a top-up for “fewer opportunities” for students with disabilities or fewer opportunities, and for students with children.
Applications for the grant must be submitted to the International Office by the stated deadlines for the relevant semester (winter semester or summer semester). Travel allowance is calculated using the European Union’s distance calculator, with Green Travel expected for journeys up to 8 hours per direction; up to 6 additional travel days may be granted for Green Travel.
The grant is paid as a monthly amount. For additional inclusion support, eligible students may apply for a top-up of EUR 250 per month. A travel allowance can also be granted based on the EU distance calculator rules described for Green Travel.
