Bachelor in Psychology

The Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) at University Tun Abdul Razak is designed to give students a comprehensive understanding of psychology’s fundamental principles and theories. The curriculum covers developmental, abnormal, social, and cognitive psychology. Students complete common core modules such as Introduction to Social Science, Research Method in Psychology, and Positive Psychology, and they study discipline core modules including Educational Psychology, Counselling Psychology, Biological Psychology, Personality Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, and Social Psychology.

Students also take hands-on research and fieldwork to gain practical experience in the field. The programme includes elective clusters; students choose one cluster from Educational Psychology, Industrial and Organizational Psychology, or Counselling Psychology. Industrial Exposure I and Industrial Exposure II are offered as part of the Industrial Exposure component. The programme is available as full-time study through Conventional on campus or Open Distance Learning (ODL), with intakes in March, July, and November.

STPM
A pass in Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) with a minimum of Grade C (GPA 2.00) in any two (2) subjects; OR

STAM
A pass in Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) with a minimum grade of Jayyid; OR

MATRICULATION
A Certificate in Matriculation or Foundation with a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.00 out of 4.00; OR

Diploma
Diploma (Level 4, MQF) in any field with at least CGPA of 2.00 out of 4.00; OR
A Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM)/Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM) / Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM) subjected to Higher Education Provider UNIRAZAK’s Senate/Academic Board’s approval. The HEPs are required to conduct screening and provide appropriate bridging courses in Mathematics and Science; OR
An Advanced Diploma (Level 5, MQF) in the relevant fields with at least CGPA of 2.00 out of 4.00; OR

OTHER
Other relevant or equivalent qualifications, experience and requirements accepted by the UNIRAZAK’s Senate.
Possess an Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL A) for admission.

Notes:
A credit in Mathematics and Biology/ Physics/ Chemistry/ General Science/ Applied Science at SPM level or equivalent qualifications.
Can be waived should any other higher qualifications contain Mathematics and Biology/ Physics/ Chemistry/ General Science/ Applied Science subjects with an equivalent/higher achievement.
Those without a pass/credit in Mathematics and/or Biology/ Physics/ Chemistry/ General Science/ Applied Science at SPM level or equivalent can be admitted but are required to attend special enhancement course(s). These special enhancement courses should be SPM equivalent, remedial in nature. Students must pass/credit the Mathematics and Biology/ Physics/ Chemistry/ General Science/ Applied Science enhancement.

International Applicants
A minimum score of Band 5.0 in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS)*; OR
A minimum score of 40 for an Internet Based Total (iBFT) for the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)*; OR
A minimum score of 7.5 for TOEFL Essentials (online); OR
A minimum score of High B1 (154) in Linguaskill Test; OR
A minimum score of 47 in Pearson Test of English (PTE); OR
A minimum score of High B1 (154) in Cambridge English Qualifications and Tests; OR
A minimum score Band 3.5 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET); OR
Successful attainment of High B1 (154) in CEFR aligned exams by Cambridge English Qualification conducted by the Centre for Continuing Education (CCE).
